Q: What is the cost of ebase?
A: Since we provide the single user ebase installer with a "runtime" version of FileMaker, you don't even need to purchase FileMaker Pro. However, depending on your needs, you may want to use FileMaker Pro products with ebaseProi.
There may be significant ancillary costs to adopting ebase, such as:
-Consulting, customization and/or data conversion costs
-Purchasing Filemaker Pro licenses for multi-user configuration
-The costs associated with operating a local area network for multi-user configuration
However, the ebase code is provided for free and is distributed with a version of the Berkeley Open-Source License.
