Unable to view all of our members

Our ebase crashed after I tried to delete files two days ago. We had to restore it through our backup system. It did come back but now we cannot view all of our records at once. For example, it says that I am viewing 1 of 4 records when we actually have over 3,000 records in the system. I can do a search for current members and it will change the numbers to reflect those parameters- i.e. it will say I am viewing record 1 of 450. But we need to be able to link all of our records back together. Suggestions to fix this?

Resolution - (this is ebase 2.11 not ebase classic)
I've been working with this user on this issue and wanted to share the resolution with the ebase community. This was btw, an ebase 2.11 database that crashed, not ebase classic. Rather than try to figure out what had happened with the ebase files, I instead upgraded (using the most recent and least-damaged copy of their database we could find) to 2.2 using the 'semi-automatic' update process (see www.ebase.org/node/1554). That resolved the problem of not all the contact records being available and they have the benefit of all the new features an bug-fixes in 2.2.
